Reporting into the Group Director of HR, the key purpose of the role of European HR Manager is to provide and continuously improve HR support to our national and European managers and directors.
Working closely with the Group Director of HR, key deliverables will include provision of up to date and accurate employment advice which is compliant with legislation and local labour agreements, supporting vacancy management and recruitment processes to attract talent and provide best-fit candidates for selection by our line managers, communicating, co-ordinating and supporting communication, information and consultation processes in connection with employee and industrial relations.
The role will implement best practice HR policy and procedures throughout all stages of the employee journey and support line managers in ensuring a working environment that promotes a high performance and continuous improvement culture through the engagement and welfare of our people.
The role is based in Kootstertille, Holland, and will provide a continuous on-site HR presence and support that also works closely with the Operations Director to communicate and engage with the works council and employees based at the site, in addition to its wider European remit. As such, whilst some travel may be possible, it is likely that this will be minimal.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years HR management experience and/or relevant HR qualification.
As such, they will be able to demonstrate a strong track record and continued commitment to ensuring best practice HR policy.
In addition, they will have the demonstrable skill and up to date knowledge to be able to provide HR advice which is at all times compliant with current employment legislation, local labour agreements, whilst also recognising and reflecting social changes.
In addition, to be successful in the role, the candidate will enjoy supporting the management of vacancies to attract best-fit talented candidates as part of the recruitment and selection process with line management.
With experience of communicating, and having the presence and knowledge to be credible, at all levels of the organisation, the successful candidate will be able to deliver effective multiple stakeholder management, demonstrate the ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and positively contribute to a working environment which promotes employee engagement and welfare.
With the ability and desire to work within a matrix structure, the job holder will be a self-starter who demonstrates drive, energy and initiative, and who enjoys working within, and contributing to, a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Fluency in written and verbal English is essential to the delivery of this role.
